As Android 13 is the next iteration of Google’s smartphone operating system, major mobile phone manufacturers like OnePlus and Samsung are working on rolling out the update for their latest smartphones, allowing users to have a cleaner experience, faster and smoother.
Android 13 is currently in beta until March 2023, after which the next version of the operating system will roll out to consumers around the world. The companies have already compiled a list of devices that will receive the next update.
However, it should be noted that Android version updates are usually released over several months. So, some users may have to wait longer than others to get the next version of Android on their smartphones.
Which OnePlus smartphones are eligible for OxygenOS 13 based on Android 13?
OnePlus previously confirmed that all of its smartphones will receive three major Android releases from the date of release, coupled with four years of security patches from the launch date. Thus, the latest line of OnePlus 10 smartphones will be upgraded from Android 12 to Android 15, which is expected to be released later in 2025.
Along with Android 13, the company will release OxygenOS 13. OxygenOS is OnePlus’ custom Android skin that delivers silky smooth performance with almost no bloatware and in-app ads. Upon release, OxygenOS quickly became a favorite among Android fans.
