Square Enix has announced that it is pulling the plug on its iOS and Android game Bravely Default after just over a year on the market. Bravely Default: Brilliant Lights was launched on January 27, 2022 but as we all know the mobile game market is extremely crowded and they announced that the game will be shutting down on February 28, 2023. Players will no longer be able to purchase the Mythril in-game currency and any unused Mythril will thankfully be refunded to players at a later date. Square Enix isn’t completely done with the game as it says they will be releasing an offline version of Bravely Default: Brilliant Lights that allows users to revisit the game’s characters and stories for the smartphone. They say this will be announced at a later date.
