The best Samsung phones aren’t the only Samsung devices to get the long-awaited Android 13 and One UI 5.0 update. Top Android tablets are also getting the update, and the latest to get it are the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 and other versions of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8.
The Galaxy Tab S8 already received the Android update last week, but it was limited to 5G versions. This week, the rollout expands to include Wi-Fi models as well, as well as older Galaxy Tab models.
Which Galaxy Tab models get Android 13?
Sammobile is tracking the ongoing rollout of the Samsung Android 13 update, and as it reports (opens in a new tab) the Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S7+ both started receiving the update this week via a firmware update. The Fan Edition (FE) version has yet to receive the update, but the roadmap seems to point to a late November release for it.
If you’re in Europe and have the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7, S7+, or a Wi-Fi-only S8, you should get a software update notification almost immediately. If it didn’t show up, it might be worth checking manually by going to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.
This is a really cool update, not only because it offers the usual security improvements, but because there’s a lot more customization available to you, some cool interface improvements, and a great deal of Improved performance if using Samsung’s DeX software for a more laptop-like experience.
