Samsung to OnePlus: The list of devices that will receive Android 13 this month


Released on August 15, Android 13 rolled out to eligible Pixel devices the same day. But it takes some time for the update to roll out to other devices. That’s not to say the Pixels aren’t the only phones currently running Android 13 – Samsung’s flagship line and a few OnePlus devices have the new OS. But what about other devices? We’ve listed the offerings from various OEMs and when they’ll have early access to Android 13 below.

Samsung

Samsung’s software deployment speeds have improved over the years. The South Korean company has already started seeding updates to several of its Galaxy S and Galaxy Note models, which means more devices could be in the works.

New One UI 5 features include an expanded Material You theme, revamped Notifications panel, smart Wi-Fi, custom call backgrounds for each contact, improved stacked widgets, interface changes camera user, etc.

OnePlus

OnePlus has already rolled out Android 13-based OxygenOS 13 for the OnePlus 10 Pro and released a beta rollout schedule for its other eligible devices. The new version of OxygenOS comes with an updated ‘Aquamorphic’ design language with an updated application and system interface, improved resource allocation and memory management, new AOD features and game performance improvements

Oppo recently revealed the November schedule for ColorOS 13 based on Android 13, expanding the ongoing rollout schedule to include several new devices. Among the many new features of the software skin is the new “Aquamorphic” design language which has also been used by OnePlus.

Vivo has already released an official update schedule, detailing which devices are eligible for the FuntouchOS 13 beta and when they will get it. The latest version of FuntouchOS includes an updated theme engine that features a wider range of color options, dynamic app icon colors, improved security features, and improved app management.

Realme was one of the first to announce an Android 13 early access timeline for its devices. However, it has yet to reveal the next iteration of its Realme UI skin and made no mention of Realme UI 4. The company’s flagship – Realme GT 2 Pro – has received Android 13 beta last month, but it was still based on Realme UI. 3.

Asus

Asus has yet to release an official roadmap, but it has already launched the Android 13 beta program for Zenfone 9 and the ROG Phone 6. If all goes well, these devices should receive the stable version of the update. updated in a few months. When it comes to Zenfone 8 and ROG Phone 5 series, Asus hasn’t even launched Android 13 beta yet.

Other devices

Apart from the above, there are currently no other major brands running beta programs for Android 13. This obviously means that these brands have not yet released stable Android 13 either. Xiaomi is currently testing several Mi, Redmi, and Poco series devices internally, but has yet to release a beta outside of China. Meanwhile, the Nothing Phone 1 won’t receive a beta until the end of the year, with stability expected in “early 2023”.
