TCL expands its Android lineup at CES 2023


At CES 2023, TCL is launching new Android smartphones and tablets internationally and in the United States. Here’s what’s coming.

Continuing its range of budget Android smartphones, TCL is launching three more TCL 40 series devices. It starts with the $219 TCL 40 R 5G which will launch today in Europe and other regions on a later date. later. The 40 R 5G has a 7nm processor (undisclosed) that supports 5G connectivity. Notably, it’s just a new variant of a TCL device launched last year.

The TCL 40 SE, meanwhile, packs a 6.75-inch screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and lands at $169. It will be launched in the first quarter of 2023 in Europe and in other regions later.

And finally, the TCL 408 is the brand’s most affordable new entry, at $129 and aimed at Asia and Europe. When launched in the first quarter of 2023, it will provide a “hyper camera” that combines the use of the 50MP main camera and a macro lens to enhance images – TCL’s other new launches also have a 50MP main camera.

The other notable launch at CES 2023 is the TCL Tab 8 LE. The 8-inch tablet features an HD display, quad-core chip, optional LTE, 4,080mAh battery, 5MP front and rear cameras, and 32GB storage with microSD expansion. It will launch in the US later in January for $159.
