As 2022 draws to a close, WhatsApp is working on countless updates, but it will also end support for some Android and iOS devices. Due to the limited hardware and software capabilities of these devices, they will no longer receive the latest operating system version updates. This will result in the inability to support WhatsApp on these devices after December 31, 2022.

Therefore, users who are still running the app on these outdated devices are advised to upgrade to a newer device to continue using WhatsApp. The decision to end WhatsApp’s support for these outdated devices is due to the company’s efforts to provide the best secure experience to users.
