San Francisco, December 25 (SocialNews.XYZ) Video streaming platform YouTube is reportedly testing its queuing system functionality for iOS and Android apps.
According to The Verge, the feature has been available on the web for several years and appears in YouTube apps under certain conditions.
Upon activating the feature, users will find a new “Play last in queue” button in the menu with three vertical dots on video thumbnails.
Tapping it will add the video to the bottom of their queue or create a new queue if they are not watching one.
Once video users watch the end, the app will start playing the next video in the queue and continue until it runs out, according to the report.
Additionally, the queue will be deleted if users stop the player, either by exiting the app or by pressing the “x” button.
Users can manually enable the feature by tapping on their profile picture in the top right corner, going to Settings, then Try New Features, then scrolling down to “Queue” and tapping the “Try” button.
The test will be available until January 28, the report adds.
Earlier this month, YouTube announced that it will now show an estimate of how long it will take to process users’ uploads so they can decide when is the right time to post it.
